Lithium battery protection board
The lithium battery protection board can play the role of charge and discharge protection for the series and parallel battery packs, and can detect the overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, undervoltage and short circuit states of each single battery in the battery pack, prolong the service life of the battery, and avoid damage to the battery due to overdischarge. Lithium battery protection board is an indispensable part of lithium battery.
The lithium battery protection board also has a balanced protection effect, and there are two ways: energy dissipation type and energy conversion type. Energy-dissipating equalization refers to the use of resistors to dissipate excess electrical energy from a certain battery with high power or voltage in multiple strings. Energy-dissipating equalization is divided into charging equalization, voltage fixed-point balancing, and static automatic balancing.
Equalization during charging: When charging, when the voltage of any one battery is higher than all the average voltages, the protection board activates equalization protection.
Voltage fixed-point equalization: The lithium battery protection board is set at a voltage point to start balancing, which is only carried out at the end of the battery charging, and the balancing time is short.
Static automatic balancing: In the process of charging or discharging, even if the battery is in a static state, when the voltage is inconsistent, the lithium battery protection board will start the balancing protection until the voltage is consistent.
The energy conversion type is to transfer the large-capacity battery to the small-capacity battery in the form of energy storage, and the capacity of the battery is detected for balancing, which is divided into capacity time equalization and capacity fixed-point balance.
