What is the basic equalization charging method of the lithium battery pack protection board?

1. Attach a parallel equalization circuit to each single battery of the lithium-ion battery pack to achieve the purpose of shunt. In this mode, when a battery is first fully charged, the equalizer prevents it from overcharging and converts excess energy into heat to continue charging the unfilled battery. This method is simple, but it will bring energy loss, and it is not suitable for fast charging systems.

2. Before charging, each cell is discharged to the same level through the same load one by one, and then the constant current charge is carried out to ensure a more accurate equilibrium state between each cell. However, for the battery pack, due to the physical differences between individuals, it is difficult to achieve the ideal effect of complete consistency after the deep discharge of each cell. Even if the same effect is achieved after discharge, new imbalances will appear during charging.

3. Detect and charge the single battery in the lithium-ion battery pack on time, sequencing and separately. When charging the lithium-ion battery pack, it can ensure that each lithium-ion battery in the battery pack will not be overcharged or over-discharged, so that each battery in the lithium-ion battery pack is in a normal working state.

4. Using the time-sharing principle, through the control and switching of the switch assembly, the additional current flows into the battery with relatively low voltage to achieve the purpose of balanced charging. This method is more efficient, but the control is more complicated.

5. Take the voltage parameters of each battery as the equalization object, so that the voltage of each battery is consistent. In equalizing charging, the capacitor is alternately connected to two adjacent batteries through a control switch, accepts the charge of the high-voltage battery, and then discharges to the low-voltage battery until the voltage of the two batteries tends to be the same. This balancing method solves the problem of unbalanced battery pack voltage, but this method is mainly used in the occasion of a small number of cells.
